Chris Diaz is a globally respected thought leader in marketing with over 27 years of experience in Brand Building, Turnaround and Growth Strategy. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Accounting, Diploma in Marketing and a Master of Science in International Marketing (UK). He has done Executive Development courses in the USA and UK and is certified for Leadership and Customer Experience by the Boeing Academy - Seattle. He has also attended the prestigious General Electric Business School in Crottonville - New York.
He is a double Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Marketing Society of Kenya.Chris has had the privilege of speaking at Harvard, Columbia, Oxford, and Strathmore Universities among other local institutions, as well as Oracle and IBM conferences across the world.
For more than 10 years, Chris Diaz has been a Member of the Board at Bidco Africa, East Africa’s leading manufacturer of FMCG.He is member of the Brand Kenya Board since 2012, where he contributes strategic guidance to national marketing activities helping to position Kenya and Africa, positively to the rest of the world.
Chris is a recipient of the Moran of the Burning Spear, a Presidential Honor for the successful development of leading brands and for protection of the environment. In 2016 he was named one of the Most Influential Global Marketing leaders by the World Marketing Congress. Chris was also the first leader from Africa to serve on the Chartered Institute of Marketing Board in the UK.
In 2017, Chris created a global record for the first leader from Africa to win the prestigious Markies Award and was declared Marketing Leader of the year in the ceremony held in Vegas USA. Chris is a respected conservationist and has contributed his time and expertise to the Kenya Wildlife Services.
He is passionate about Entrepreneurship, Thought Leadership and Youth and Empowerment; to bring the change to build Sustainability programs.
